Fredericksburg, VA, June 14, 2021 – Rappahannock Goodwill Industries (RGI) has elected Cody Blankenship to its Board of Directors effective as of June 7, 2021. Cody is Vice President of Performance Improvement at Mary Washington Healthcare. In this role, Cody helps the healthcare system improve patient care through systems engineering and data-driven culture.

“I am pleased to welcome Cody Blankenship as our newest board member,” said Steve Cox, President and CEO of Rappahannock Goodwill. “RGI is always striving to improve our customer experience, whether that customer comes to us to donate goods, shop for items at a reasonable price, or look for a new job or new skills. Cody will be a valuable resource as we continue to exceed our customers’ expectations.”

“Cody joins the Rappahannock Goodwill board at just the right time. With his expertise in performance improvement, he will fill a vital need on the board as the organization deals with the changes to our economy and community following the pandemic,” said board chair Dermaine Lewis.

Cody lives with his wife, Cameron, and two daughters in downtown Fredericksburg.

Rappahannock Goodwill Industries, Inc. (RGI) is a private not-for-profit organization that serves the City of Fredericksburg and a 12-county region. RGI provides work opportunities, job search assistance, and employment skills training.
